A spin off the Fresh Mesh bag, the Fresh Mesh Wicketed bag features a lip with wicket punches specific for automation. This bag design incorporates a horizontal band, or belly band, that wraps around the middle of the bag and maintains ample space to brand your products with custom graphics and product messaging

“Our Wicketed bag allows the product to respire, letting the commodity breathe as it would naturally, assisting in product life-extension,” adds Aaron Fox, Executive Vice President. “The ability to automate this bag design is a big advantage, as the FSWB3 can pack up to 25 bags per minute.”

There are two closure type options for the Wicketed bag, you could opt for a Kwik Lok or a draw tape. Another advantage of this bag style, as well as the Fox Fresh mesh bag, is the mesh’s ability to withstand heat, and when produced without labels – you get a boil-in-bag, which can be used for crawfish boils or stove-top cooking.

This technology utilizes a black-white film that acts as a barrier to UV spectrum lights that can trigger greening in potatoes.

“It’s not that these bags protect against potato growth, but that they can keep product on the shelves longer, helping in our goals to feed communities and not landfills”  shares Aaron.
